Home-made Doner Kebab

Ingredients
  

  • 1 tsp rapeseed oil
  • 400 g lean lamb mince
  • 2 garlic cloves crushed
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp ground coriander
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • ½ tsp smoked paprika
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp freshly ground black pepper

Method
 

  1. Preheat the oven to 200C/180C Fan/Gas 6. Brush the oil over a 1kg loaf tin.
  2. Tip the mince into a large bowl, add the garlic, spices and seasoning and mix with your hands until smooth. Press into the loaf tin and bake for 20-30 minutes. Set aside until cool enough to handle.
  3. Turn the meat out of the tin and slice the kebab length ways into thin strips.
