When I started my blog 6 years ago today, my main focus was to make public all the recipes I shared in my leisure classes, family clubs and after school clubs for more than 10 years. My classes at Perth College were so popular that it needed to be booked months in advance to secure a space, and I was very sad when I had to give up all my classes to pursue my career and secondary teacher. Raspberry crumble slice
I visited Austria many times with my parents as I grew up very close to the Austrian border. This recipe it’s my version of a Linzer torte, from the Austrian city of Linz, a delicious jam tart with a soft and fragrant pastry. It brings me memory of coffee shops and patisseries, coffee served with whipped cream and thick slices of cake. Enjoy it!
Pizza al taglio
So few days ago my kids wanted pizza, as the best pizzeria in town is closed due to Covid-19, I decided to make it. This is my favourite one as it’s good even if you bake it in a domestic oven. Usually the “pizza al taglio” is consumed as afternoon snack or on the beach. Buon appetito!
Tea loaf or Bara Brith
Since I moved in this country I learn the reassuring power of a cup of tea and a slice of this tea loaf is the perfect accompaniment. This recipe create a moist fruit loaf with plump dried fruit as they are soaked in tea overnight. Although it is a fat free recipe, it is usually served with a thick layer of butter. Enjoy!
Comfort food for the winter months … Gnudi
It’s been too long since my last post and I know I keep you posted on Instagram but it’s nice to post here on my blog where I can also add recipes. This recipe is for Gnudi a traditional Tuscan recipe that literally means naked. The name comes from the fact that this kind of gnocchi have all the ingredients of the spinach and ricotta ravioli without the pasta. As the pasta cover the filling in the ravioli and in this recipe is missing this gnocchi made from the filling are served … naked!
